Only few miles from Tokyo, Yokohama has one of the three biggest ports of the world. It has played a major role in the internationalization of Japan in the last centuries because of its early contacts with foreigners. At a certain period, Yokohama was one of the few places in the country where foreigners could live in Japanese soil
